Next Thursday, February 16th, at 7:00 p.m., the Eugenio Granell Foundation will open the INSANIA exhibition by the artist Iván Prieto. A project curated by Lucía Carballeda Suárez that can be visited, on the first floor of the museum, until April 9th.
Iván Prieto graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2002, completed his artistic training at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in the Netherlands between 2002 and 2003. He began exhibiting in the early 2000s, with an important career in which he develops projects in different European countries and in China. He fixed his residence in Galicia after a stage between Berlin and Spain.
The exhibition involves a review of different lines of research based on the human figure from perspectives that link him to the formulation of surrealism, where we find views related to freak culture, cinematographic references and other components that create a scene full of beings that make up an androgynous and surreal universe.
