2 July, 2015 – 6 March, 2016
Second floor.
The exhibition 20 ways of changing the world, curated by Eduardo Valiña, takes as its starting point the important collections that belong to the museum, establishing an itinerary by means of dialogue, on the one hand, between the Granell and Philip West collection, on the other hand, between the surrealist collection and the ethnic. The exhibition also includes other works by contemporary creators that form part of private collections.
The exhibition is based on the concept of collection, from the ones made by Granell to the matter of making a contemporary art collection; this therefore creates a direct relationship between Granell the artist and collector and other collectors, and even with other present-day creators. It is a double exhibition, located on two floors, which functions in an independent and complementary way, since in November the first floor will host a Luis Seoane exhibition, another of the exhibitions commemorating the museum’s 20th anniversary.
